The winter solstice or midwinter marks the shortest period of daylight and longest night when the sun is at its lowest elevation in the sky. For centuries it has been seen across cultures as a time for ritual and festivals. Symbolically, the winter solstice represents regeneration and renewal as it signifies the rebirth of the sun and a gradual shift to longer days and more daylight. It is also a time for self-reflection. During this evening of yin and yang yoga we’ll create space to turn inwards and explore gentle practices that slowly galvanize and harness our energy. Beginning with a dynamic slow, flowing style the session will then melt into deeply nourishing yin poses
